On Thursday evening, all the ladies who participate in Dominique Gauthiez-Rieucau's writing workshop had dinner together at the Auberge du Bérange, near Castries. We had a great time. We ate a lot, drank a rather moderate amount of wine and sang all evening.
(Almost) all these ladies are published authors.

Jeudi dernier, toutes les dames de l'atelier d'écriture animé par Dominique Gauthiez-Rieucau se sont retrouvées à l'Auberge du Bérange, près de Castries. On a bien mangé, presque bien bu, beaucoup chanté et ri.

Good surprise

I had a nice surprise Thursday....

Every other week I attend a writing workshop at the IUFM (a "school" where future teachers learn how to teach). My teacher is writer Dominique Gauthier-Rieucau. I get along with the other writers who attend the workshop on a regular basis (most of them are published authors). Thursday I was very surprised when I saw all my friends arrive with gifts for me, cakes and Gewurztraminer wine (2 bottles). They wanted to celebrate my birthday. I thought that was super nice. We had a very good time together. We were able to write, so honor was satisfied. I came back home with a nice bag, a scarf, lots of books..........

The only "problem" was: Thursday was not my birthday. My birthday will be at the end of May ;-))) One of my friends had written my birthday at the wrong date on her calendar.

Ce qui m'est arrivé jeudi est une belle preuve d'amitié qui m'a beaucoup touchée, et en même temps c'est très rigolo. Mes amies de l'atelier d'écriture que je fréquente depuis quelques années sont toutes arrivées avec de jolis cadeaux pour moi. Pour mon anniversaire. Nous avons mangé du gâteau et bu du Gewurztraminer. J'ai passé un merveilleux moment avec des filles super (y a que des filles !). Le seul problème: mon anniversaire ne tombe pas fin avril mais fin mai. On remettra donc ça plus tard. Une amie avait noté mon anniversaire à la mauvaise date :-))
