This is the view I had from the comfortable couch on the terrace of the "brasserie du musée Paul Valéry" where I sat for a while after visiting the museum. Blue sky and bluer sea. Between the flowers and the parasol and the sea lies the "cimetière marin," which is almost as famous as the Père Lachaise in Paris. There poet Paul Valéry and actor/playwright Jean Vilar requiescant in pace.
