Sunny winter and happy Monday in Montpellier !
Djeen Doojaaadeen has received the 2012 Golden Globe Award for his performance in The Artist. I wrote his name the way I did because that is what I heard a few days ago when an American TV host whose name I have not on my mind right now mentioned the French actor's nomination. Dujardin got "his revenge" when he started speaking English at the ceremony in a French accent that made his English ten times as bad as the American TV host's French.
Dujardin and his wife Alexandra Lamy became both famous about ten years ago when they played the two major characters, Chouchou and Loulou, in a funny TV series, Un Gars Une fille (A boy and a girl).
Since then Jean Dujardin has performed in at least 30 films and is now considered one of the best French actors, if not the best. Dujardin and Lamy live in Anduze, about 30 miles from Montpellier. I think they perfectly illustrate <<the French couple>> as we imagine it, at its best. I have read that some American Hollywood people already call them "the French Brangelina." I think they are just the opposite of Pitt and Jolie.
I was particularly happy when I heard that the French actor had won the award for his performance in a silent movie, in black & white.

J'avais envie de me réjouir des récompenses attribuées à un film français et à un acteur français pour son rôle dans un film muet et en N&B. C'est tout. That's all, Folks!
Au fait, la photo des roseaux, je l'ai prise le Jour de l'An, à Lattes autour de l'étang du Méjean que certaines cigognes ne quittent plus l'hiver. J'ai trouvé que les couleurs de la nature étaient très belles, presque aussi belles que l'absence de couleurs rutilantes dans The Artist.
