Weekend Reflections...... NON
The Parc Expo (the big venue where the "Foire de Montpellier" takes place every year) was still empty when I took this photo but a few minutes later, it would have been impossible to find a single seat available. Thousands of people were going to say NON.....
Weekend Reflections blogs

The dark-haired lady in the photo

The lady who wear glasses is Hélène Mandroux, the mayor of Montpellier. But do you know who the dark-haired lady is? Of course this question is for my non-French blogger friends :-)))
La dame qui porte des lunettes, c'est Hélène Mandroux, le maire de Montpellier. Mais savez-vous qui est la dame brune sur la photo ?
Bien entendu cette question s'adresse aux blogueurs "non-français" :-))

Port Ariane

I took these photos in Port Ariane, a marina located in Lattes, the closest village to Montpellier. Montpellier and Lattes used to be rival "cities" but the new mayor of Lattes more or less agrees with ours now. Port Ariane was built in reference to Port Marianne in Montpellier. Or vice versa. Our former mayor wanted to connect Montpellier to the sea.
I think Montpellier and the sea will eventually be connected through concrete buildings, not by boats :-))
I am going to Ardèche tomorrow morning. I will be back on next Monday. I will miss visiting your blogs and reading your comments on mine.

Lozère

Languedoc-Roussillon ("administrative region") is made up of five départements: Hérault, Gard, Aude, Pyrénées-Orientales and Lozère.
I took the photos above in Lozère this weekend. My blog being devoted to Montpellier, these photos may not be "relevant." However the major politician in Lozère (former président de région) is still the main opponent of the major politician in Hérault (present président de région). Therefore there is still a strong link between Montpellier and Lozère.
The photos show the lake of Villefort where I was, and the dam. I saw two other dams yesterday.
The third photo shows the tower of the castle of La Garde Guérin, which is a marvelous little village....
The last photo (lower one) shows the cutest and tiniest church I ever saw, with its cemetery behind it. It is in Puylaurent, a hamlet near La Bastide-Puylaurent. There is a bell missing in the steeple.
If you visit this region, you need to go and visit Lozère. I love it there. It is magic. The villages I visited yesterday are on the Stevenson Trail in the Cévennes.
Except for the link leading to a site about Villefort, all other links lead to sites in English...
