BAM

Too cold to take outdoor photos :-))))

This is the "lobby" of Arles city hall. I took the photo in last November.

Le hall d'entrée de l'hôtel de ville d'Arles. J'aime beaucoup Arles. Il fait trop froid pour prendre des photos d'extérieur !

I hope Ed Ward won't mind my posting a paragraph of his most recent post on his blog, City on a Hill:

Finally, I set up a Google Group for the issue, which now has 19 members, including one in Montpellier's twin city of Louisville, Kentucky, which had helped the library out in the past. The outraged citizenry will be meeting at 7:30 at Lawrence McGuire's homey used bookshop, the Globe, on Tuesday night. If anyone reading this has expertise in getting grants for library projects, or has any juice with people who do, or feel they have something to contribute to this, just send me your e-mail address as a comment, which I won't publish, and I'll send you an invitation to the group. And if you're in Montpellier or environs and want to come to the meeting, the store's at 2, rue de Carbonnerie (opposite l'Heure Bleu, up the hill from that insane toy store, corner of rue de Canneau).

Réunion demain mardi à 19h30, à la librairie Le Globe, 2 rue de la Carbonnerie.

  3. Yes, cold temperatures do negatively affect ones desire to go on a photo shoot. This interior is so very symmetrical. Too bad about the library; hope that your mission to save it is successful.

  10. That's some lobby. People can gather there to figure out how the government's gonna get more of their money perhaps?

It's too cold here, too. Which is crazy as Florida is supposed to be warm. But I went to The Villages last evening and didn't take one shot. Went to a warm bookstore instead!

Hope all is well with you. Are you writing a lot?

  11. C'eqst vrai qu'en ce moment on est mieux dedans que dehors. Et puis cela permet de faire une belle photo du hall de l'Hotel de Ville d'Arles.

  12. Hi Marie! Thanks for your comment on Ocala DP! You're welcome to stop by when you come to the States.

And it really isn't a matter of "believing" in global warming; global warming is a fact. And the cold weather, ironically, is exactly what we would expect from global warming. Climate change really screws up the weather.

It all makes me frustrated 'cause I've never seen it so cold for so long here in Florida. I feel sorry for those folks who came here to vacation and ran into weather just like the weather they left behind!

Have a great rest of the week and I'd love to see your photos of the villas(?) in Deltona.

  13. Tu m'excuseras Marie, mais, je ne pourrai y être....Because, trop loin..Le verglas est aussi annoncé..Nous avions bien besoin de ça après la neige...

J'espère que vous arriverez à sauver votre librairie anglaise....
