La Pompignane

I took this photo in 2007 from the top of the Corum, behind a (rather dirty) window. It shows the higher buildings of La Pompignane, where I live.

I will leave Montpellier for San Francisco on Saturday morning. I think I will not be able to come to my photoblog very often for a month.

J'ai pris cette photo du haut du Corum, derrière une vitre un peu sale. La photo montre les bâtiments les plus élevés de la Pompignane où j'habite.

Je pars pour San Francisco samedi matin.

  4. Well, even though I don't live in San Francisco, I'll say welcome! You will have a wonderful time, I'm sure. It's such a great city.

This is a very nice photo, too, Marie. If you hadn't mentioned the dirty window I would have thought there was haze or smoke in the air which muted the colors. Quite beautiful, actually.

    Enjoy!

  5. Have a wonderful trip to San Francisco. Have you been there before? it is a delightful city. I hope you will spend some time in the Napa Valley and Sonoma wine country. You would be interested to compare it to French vineyards, wineries and wine.

Carmel and Pebble Beach down the coast should not be missed, if you have the time to travel outside of town. The Hearst Castle at San Simeon a little further south is also well worth the trip. In fact, the drive along the coast in the Big Sur area is itself worth the trip.

  9. Salut Marie! I hope you'll have a fun and safe trip to San Francisco! Maybe you should call "Louis la Vache", a CDP blogger there with French ancestry!
    Bon voyage

  11. La vitre sale donne un effet de brume à ta photo.
Bon voyage à SF, Marie !
Je trouve que ce nom de Pompignane est très méridional.

  12. I LOVE San Francisco, tho I've only been there once. You must take the cable cars. Also check out Lombard Street which goes straight down.

If you like, there are 2 baseball teams in the area, and the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) gets you lots of places in the area.

    Bon voyage.
On behalf of the ABC Wednesday team, thank you!
