A nice place where to drink beer in Montpellier without getting broke. The Manhattan Café is located on the Esplanade de l'Europe (facing the Conseil Régional).
Un endroit sympa où on peut boire de la bière (un peu, un peu) à Montpellier sans se ruiner. Sur l'Esplanade de l'Europe, face au Conseil Régional.
ha ha, how funny!
RépondreSupprimerIf I went to Montpellier, I would want to eat Genuine FRENCH food and visit little local places.
Cheers! I'll meet you there for a beer sometime and we can talk about blogging!
RépondreSupprimerAs an American, the last thing I would want to do in France is eat at any place that serves food or drink and that features an American theme.
RépondreSupprimerThere are two things about their sign that are noteworthy:
1. The Statue of Liberty -- a gift from France -- is prominently featured. Thank you, again, France for a gift that is as much a symbol of our country as is the Eiffel Tower for France.
2. The map of the USA in the sign is chopped off at the bottom and removes all of Florida, most of Texas, and part of the South. It would be like a map of France without Bordeaux, Carcasonne, Toulouse, Marseille, or Provence.
We need more LOW COST cafe's.
RépondreSupprimerDave, I am sure most people in France do not know where Florida is and maybe do not even know the name "Florida" :-))) If the map had been complete, the door to the café would have been blocked, which would have been a pity. They sell French drinks there and it is cheaper than in most cafés in Montpellier (the prices are a bit extravagant here).
RépondreSupprimerThank you Mary, Leif, Dave and Wanda.
superbe new look
RépondreSupprimertrès belle photo
amitié d'un dimanche soleil :)
The whole idea of combining the words "Manhattan" and "low cost" is pretty surrealistic, if you ask me. There hasn't been anything low cost on Manhattan in decades!
