RépondreSupprimerI like the iron crosses and especially the one with hearts. We don't have as many monument type markers here. I read somewhere that here in San Diego at some point they thought it would be a good idea to be able to take care of the grass more easily so there are more flat markers.

RépondreSupprimerQuand je suis mort et la secouée, non plus, j'aimerais être lancé dans la mer, pour nourrir les aigrefins et les crabes. Je ne pense pas que j'aime la pensée des mensonges sous la terre avec les croix de fer au-dessus de ma tête. Mes amis, les poissons partagera la vie ensuite, avec moi.

A cute bit of (somewhat morbid) slang French. When someone dies, you might say Elle est allé manger des mauves par la racine. Translated, it means "She's gone to eat mallows root-first" (since mallows are commonly found in graveyards).

RépondreSupprimerEn 1978 quand je suis allée en Yougoslavie (à l'époque)je suis entrée dans un cimetière où se cotoyaient des tombes chrétiennes avec des croix et des tombes musulmanes avec des turbans! Dans la mort nous sommes tous d'accord.
