Do you celebrate the Epiphany in your country? Here in France, we are supposed to celebrate it on January 6th but actually we eat the galette des rois until the end of January.
In the South, we eat "la couronne des Rois" (the Wise Men's crown), whereas in northern France, they eat a "galette à la frangipane" (almond paste). I live in the South but I was born in the North. I tend to find the galette à la frangipane better.
Yesterday I ate "la galette" with the members of an association called "Les Amis de la Mémoire Pédagoqique" (they are working on a new website, I will mention it on my blog as soon as it is online). My friend Ada was crowned queen!
