The men's bench

In the summer, elderly people spend a large part of the afternoon resting and chatting upon the benches of the Esplanade. Some benches seem reserved for men, and some others for women.

  5. Love this. Same in my village - men sit around in one place and women in another!

  7. Funny how those things happen. The guys with the guys and the gals with the gals. Guess that shows who they're comfortable talking to. Maybe the guys are just sitting and not doing much talking. lol

  11. Moi non plus je ne sais pas comment ils font pour tenir le coup. Ca ne donne pas une très bonne image aux jeunes qui font pareil maintenant. D'ailleurs ils se laissent pousser le ventre :-))

The guys may be chatting about the Tour de France (which will be in Montpellier soon) and the gals about their neighbors and their families :-))

Thank you for your comments. They made me happy for the day...
