I like the color of the "bignonia" flowers. I don't know the name in English but I am sure somebody will help again with it. We call them "bignones" in French, or "trompettes de Jéricho."
HI Marie...I love your visits! I left you a message about ABC WEd on my blog comments yesterday....mrsnesbitt runs it or organizes it I think...so far it is fun! This is a lovely orange flower.....very pretty. I don't recall seeing them here...
J'en ai une jaune à la maison, mais presque tous les ans il lui arrive quelque chose, j'ai dû la déplacer 2 fois, elle a été cassée après la tempête, mais elle repousse toujours!!.
In Australia, they are found around Perth, climb to about 3 metres high and flower in orange and red in December and January. They can be seen growing beside roads. Some say that they cause death in bees. However, they are pretty, but don't let children eat them. I believe they are the State emblem of South Carolina.
Marie, the english name is Trumpet vine or Trumpet creeper, latin name is Campsis radicans
