27 poles with the flags of the 27 countries making up the European Union have been erected along the Corum, at the far end of the Esplanade. The Corum is a convention center and an opera house. It looks like a big ship.
I like all the people in the EU but I am not sure the EU has been beneficial to my country.
The line of flags is very impressive. It is very important for nations to be united. I need to learn more about the consequences of the EU, and thanks for prompting me to do this with your post.
RépondreSupprimerThe mayor, Georges Frêche, has achieved something special in this fine building. I hope he helped to pay for it?
RépondreSupprimerPerhaps it is near the spot where we saw the street musician.
The flags are wonderful.
RépondreSupprimerHi nice photos.
I send a greeting to you from Uruguay I wait for your visit kisses
How do you know about Georges Frêche, M. Benaut? He is not mayor any longer, he is now president de région. The new mayor is a woman, Hélène Mandroux, who is a medical doctor.
RépondreSupprimerThank you Kate, I too think it is important to be united but there are so many problems in my area due to the EU that I resent it a little.
I think he was Maire in about 1988, n'est-ce pas?
RépondreSupprimerI omitted to say, 'previous'. Désolé.
Yes, he was. I think he has been "in power" for over 30 years (just like a king). Hi hi, that's socialism "à la française."
RépondreSupprimerI can see our flag, too. :)
