Street lamps

In Antigone, the "stiffness" of modern lamp posts is softened by elegant flowers and plants.

I do not know whether it is the post that is leaning :-)

  1. How attractive - I love these - they must be hardy plants to be up there in the sun & the wind. A photo of them being watered them might be interesting!!!

  4. Mon Dieu, qui donc efface ses commentaires, snif!

The lamp itself is very simple and a bit "austere" but the flowers help make it more pleasant to see.

They have a truck that has been specially equipped to water them, at the city hall, Jules

  5. I think it is leaning or you were. It is a nice picture though and I wonder how many times each day somebody has to water the flowers? It was hot here yesterday and dry. If it is that way everywhere then the flowers will need watering several times each day.

  9. The little boys from Rabaul would climb this lamp post, water the flowers and pick coconuts, all at the same time.
    Who needs a truck ?
    Que pensez-vous, Jules ?
