ABC Wednesday.... J for Jeanne d'Arc
The church I attend in my neighborhood is called Eglise Sainte Jeanne d'Arc (St Joan of Arc church).
It is about 50 years old. It is very difficult to photograph it as it is caught between high concrete buildings. The lower photo shows the presbytery.
Please visit Mrs. Nesbitt's blog to find out who are the participants in the ABC Wednesday this week.

Great choice for J:o)
RépondreSupprimerFantastic photos and a nice J:)
RépondreSupprimerEven so, one can see and imagine that the structure of the building is quite nice.
RépondreSupprimerYou managed to get a great shot of St. Joan's! Love your "J" choice!
RépondreSupprimerHi Marie,
RépondreSupprimerWe have decided to stay one noght in Montpellier before we catch the early morning train to Barcelona. Do you have any recommendations for a hotel (not 5***** ! Much more like 1 or 2!!) somewhere very close to the railway station? The train leaves at either 7:00 or 7:30 so we need to get an early start, therefore close walkign distance would be great!
Best wishes,
Sally
Beautiful J! :)
RépondreSupprimersurrounding buildings are a nuisance sometimes - is there a hill that overlooks perhaps.
RépondreSupprimerLike you, I am looking around in Montpellier.
If you stay in a hotel really close to the railway station, you may find that it's a bit like Redfern, 20 years ago.
There will be much interesting behaviour leading into the small hours etc.
You need to go closer to the centre commercial, perhaps.
Take a gander at this one; and be sure to watch the video. You may even sleep well !

Bon weekend!
Pretty church.
RépondreSupprimerPalm trees? I think I need to check a map to see just where Montpellier is. ;-)
it's beautiful :)
RépondreSupprimerOoooh, how pretty! Really nice.
RépondreSupprimerI keep forgetting about ABC wednesdays! Beans!
