visiting your blog always feels like i am at the front seat of the car with extended view of the surroundings. i know that i could not go to such place and i thank you for sharing these wonderful images to us.
by the way, sorry for not visiting sooner. just had a weeklong vacation and the work just piled-up. i'll catch-up on my readings/blog-hops once my sched returns to normal. have a nice day friend.
babooshka: For part of the year I live in a village very like St. Jean de Buèges -- just about the same size and perhaps 40kM away. I love the life there but it's quite primitive. Almost all the houses have running water but some have no modern bathrooms (mine doesn't, for one) and almost none have air-conditioning. I was there in the canicule (heat-wave) of 2003 and we suffered, I can tell you.
My village has a local café, which is very friendly, and life revolves around it -- but many of those little villages have neither a café nor a shop. They rely on itinerant merchants who do a daily round of the villages selling basic food needs.
Bonjour Marie! Bon weekend!

RépondreSupprimerFrom this view - which is superb - it reminds me a little of Uzes. I suppose Uzes is bigger tho.
