I guess since you say you hate bullfighting, and the statue of the toreador is in the foreground, there must be bullfighting in Nimes. I only associate bullfighting with Spain and Mexico, but I guess not. I don't think I would like it either, regardless of what Mr. Hemingway says on the subject.

RépondreSupprimerThere's a tradition of bullfighting and bull running in the Midi. In the arènes of Nîmes, Arles and Béziers complete corridas are staged throughout the summer season. In other places modified corridas are staged, in which the bull is not killed.

Tu me pardonneras, Marie mais mes yeux sont attirés par le dallage, une sorte d'inadéquation, un truc qui cloche. Malheureusement, il n'a pas 2000 ans d'existence ! Ca se voit tout de suite, et c'est dommage, ils auraient du concevoir quelque chose de plus en phase avec cette merveille.
