It did not take more than 30 seconds for the nimble driver of this huge truck to back it into the yard of the small store down my street. He reminded me of the firemen my son Cédric and I saw driving their fire truck into their garage "en moins de temps qu'il ne faut pour le dire"! That was in Brooklyn, and the truck was much longer than the one in the photo.
In a few months or weeks, this low-cost store will be pulled down and replaced by a 18-storey building!

Haven't visited your blog for ages; good to "see" you again. Those big rigs must be difficult to drive!
RépondreSupprimerThank you very much, Kate. I was not sure whether this was a rig (semi-remorque :-))) and anyway I had forgotten the English word for that :-))) Bonne journée, I will visit your blog again soon !
SupprimerI've always been impressed by those who can maneuver those big trucks in and about the cities!
RépondreSupprimerWhat was the matter with the constitution in 2005...was it accepted?
Nice to see your blog back. Hope all is well!
No, Lowell, it was not. But the president decided to alter the draft and impose the "newer" version without asking the people for their advice. :-)) Thank you for commenting. I have been very very tired for weeks because of a silly thing that makes a lot of noise night and day right above my head (My apartment is located right beneath the roof).

We have a fire house down the block from us, and I stand amazed at how they back those huge fire trucks into such a small space.
