The streets of Montpellier
Two days ago I met Francis Lopez who has a very interesting photoblog about Montpellier. The blog is entitled Les rues de Montpellier, that is "the streets of Montpellier."
Monsieur Lopez has posted hundreds of photos on his blog. One can spend hours discovering Montpellier thanks to him! If you are interested in Le Tour de France, you will see a lot of photos taken in Montpellier where the Tour stopped this year. The photo above is by Francis Lopez, not by me (I love riding my bike but I don't like "cyclisme" at all).
Our Francis Lopez is not related to the French musician Francis Lopez, who wrote famous "opérettes" such as "Le Chanteur de Mexico."

The fountain on the Place de la Révolution is brand new! Its water seems to be dancing in the air. Please go to Mrs. Nesbitt's place to...
Marie, if you do happen to listen to that music I raved about, see if you can get a translation of her words. They are heart-breakingly delusional!
RépondreSupprimerOh, this is so French. I love it. The blog you refer to is interesting too.
RépondreSupprimerNice photos of the Fete too and loved the Cannas. I try growing those but think it's too dry or I'm too lazy with the watering!
I think Jean, the man at whose place I photographed the cannas, waters them a lot. He has a well on his land.
RépondreSupprimerMarie - sorry -by way of explanation. I meant the Tour de France is one of many things about France that is so typical and that I love - along with the food, the wine, and the life - and a trillion other things.
RépondreSupprimerCyclisme is for the dedicated athletes, but the Tour de France was totally sensational for people like me. I sat up night after night, until 2 and 3 in the morning. I must have seen a thousand beautiful towns and villages. The photography was astonishing. It simply makes one want to go and spend quality time in La Belle France, and perhaps never return.
RépondreSupprimerVive le Tour, La Tour, la France, and Vive you too Marie. C'est si bon !
tres jolie, cool shot, very colorful.
RépondreSupprimercoloré?
I like the colors.
The Tour de France is so big in Australia - everyone loves it!!! This year an Australian came secon which really made us happy. Cycling is one of Australia's biggest personal fitness activity after swimming i think!!!
RépondreSupprimerHi Marie, sorry for being a bit absent here, but these last weeks had been terrible. It seems to be calming down now, and I may even find a way to get some days off the end of August, early September.
RépondreSupprimerFound some interesting posts and lovely pictures. Fontcaude, Saint-Roch, the Streets of Montpellier look great… Pity to lose the pictures; it happened to me once in Ljubljana; I’m still thinking why all 36 pictures where taken only on one piece of film…
Liked to see your new profile image.
Have a great week-end, and thanks for the comments on Blogtrotter
Marie, a delusion is a false thought, belief, feeling, but is believed to be true by the thinker. OMG, does that make any sense at all? Yes,I have a translation of the entire opera, in a programme from a performance I went to, years ago, at the Sydney Opera House.
RépondreSupprimerWatch the Tour de France on TV. Love the colors and excitment you captured in the photo.
RépondreSupprimerThis is so colorful! I love how this looks...nice shot!
