Isis and Pepette
Today I am posting the photos of two wonderful residents of Montpellier, Isis the dog and Pepette the rabbit. They are my son Cedric's pets. Isis is very old now, about 15, and we know she will not be with us for long. When that happens we will be very sad because she is the greatest dog ever. Last November, she had a sort of stroke. Pepette took good care of her. Sometimes she seemed to be wanting to transmit her energy to Isis. Pepette was supposed to be a dwarf rabbit but she now weighs about 9.5 pounds.

This is a truly beautiful story, Marie. It is sad to see anyone, or any animal in the twilight days of their life. We have loved them, and the times that we have shared together. However, they always surprise us and continue to contribute to our happiness and this brings back memories from days long gone. Fifteen years ago, you were the mother of a boy and a little puppy. Today, Papette has decided to care for Isis. It's like a mother role. I am sure that Cedric should also introduce a new puppy to the family, soon, so Isis will be sure that there will always be a friend for Papette.

RépondreSupprimerThis is just precious. We had a cat once that led our blind dog around. Animals are so wonderful and caring.
RépondreSupprimerWhat a very touching tale. Pets I think have a very special place in our families. Are you going to watch the Wallabies in their match against Fiji, Marie? I will have to set my alarm to wake me up to watch it!
RépondreSupprimerTheir feelings for each other radiate from my computer right into my heart. Thank you so much for telling their story and through it, the story of your family. Have you seen our almost 14-year-old miniature dachshund Duncan at my other blog, Mama and Me from PDX? He's the loveliest little guy. Mama, who is 81, has been telling him for the last few years, "Don't you die before I do, Duncan." Thankfully both of them are in great health.
RépondreSupprimerWhat a beautiful picture! 15!!! That is really old for such a big dog....I love dogs and this is very sweet...enjoy your time with your "grand"pets!
