This photo was certainly a failure but I like it because it looks like an Impressionist painting (again!). I took it a few years ago when I could hardly use my digital camera (I still have a hard time using it :-)).
It was taken in the Bois de Montmaur, where there is a very nice running track. It shows an old village nearby, Montferrier, I think.
Oh, I don't agree with you! It's a beautiful photo, perfectly framed. I recommend readers click on it to fully appreciate all its elements.

Does the running track follow the Lez or is it in the hills?
We have a running track (and a bike track) along the Lez but this one "meanders" through the wood......

This photo is NOT a failure, Marie. It is superb. You have foreground, middle ground and background. Montferrier looks absolutely gorgeous.

RépondreSupprimerThere is perhaps too much flat sky - if you cropped it to cut most of the sky and about a fifth in from each side it would be perfect. Essentially you would have the village with the mountains as fading background and framed by the out-of-focus foreground of leaves.
