ABC Wednesday... G like Greenaway
The famous British filmmaker Peter Greenaway was in Montpellier a few weeks ago (invited by the librairie Sauramps). He talked about the 100 books he intends to write.
The photos have been taken by Mr. Delhoume, from Clermont l'Hérault. Thank you very much, Mr. Delhoume. I took a few photos of Greenaway as you can see in the second photo (woman in bluejeans) but mine are not as good as Mr. Delhoume's.
The pretty lady in the bottom photo is Greenaway's publisher, Danièle Rivière (Editions Dis Voir)
Please visit Mrs. Nesbitt's blog and the blogs of all the participants in the ABC Wednesday.

I guess Mr. Greenway will be busy. With so many books to write. ;)
RépondreSupprimerI think they will be "thin" :-)
RépondreSupprimerInteresting post and good G
RépondreSupprimerThis is a different G post than others. I like it....interesting.
RépondreSupprimerDoes Greenaway speak good French?
RépondreSupprimerOne hundred books! How will he find the time? Even if the books are thin, writing a book is a long process. ;-)
RépondreSupprimerI looked him up and wikipedia.
RépondreSupprimerWe sometimes get British films
on Public television or at the
Public Library we might be able
to get British movies.
God Bless and have a Great Week!
Ambitious!
RépondreSupprimerGreat shared information : )
RépondreSupprimerooooh yeh I remember this movie which Peter Greenaway made.... with the title "La grand bouffe" eeerghhh!!!! with a lot of food ,and eating too much, and people exploding from eating way too much! I loved the music in his movies very much. Great post thanks.

Good G
RépondreSupprimerI also want write a book, the first one, at least.
Come and see my photos, please.
This is a great post. How exciting for you to meet him! Do you think he will write the books?
RépondreSupprimerI always say, you've got to admire a man with a plan. Nice G.
RépondreSupprimerSo, that's you on the row, camera in hand? Neat!
en ce moment tu nous fais rencontrer plein de personnages intéressant, c'est l'avantage de vivre dans une grande ville, il y a du mouvement. J'aime beaucoup ces films
RépondreSupprimerGreenaway must have entertained his audience, admirably, Marie.
RépondreSupprimerIn your 2nd photo, he has the audience laughing and applauding spontaneously; even though one has her hands full !!
RépondreSupprimer:) He must be able to write fast. A 100 books is a lifetime of work, he looks like he's at least in the middle of his life.
RépondreSupprimerYou certainly get some fascinating visitors to Montpellier,Marie...I find his movies quite 'Challenging'. I wonder if his talk to the group was equally so.
RépondreSupprimerA very interesting G. G is for good. You did a good job. I didn't get to do it this time.
RépondreSupprimerQuelle chance !
RépondreSupprimerJ'adore ses films !A-t-il parlé de ses projets cinématographiques , en dehors de son paradoxal projet d'écriture?
