Bor-et-Bar
Bor-et-Bar is a very beautiful old village in Aveyron to which I nearly moved in early September. It is not possible to get an internet connection in Bar for the moment. I would not have been able to use my cell phone. Maybe in a few years..... I think the house/apartment I visited is still for rent. Bar-et-Bor is made up of two small villages. Lots of houses are empty there....

Un village où il doit faire bon vivre mais il va falloir qu'il installe internet car il ne faut pas exagérer !!

On prend sa plume, et on envoie une lettre...
A bientôt Marie.
I've heard of Bor-et-Bar but have never been there. It looks very aveyronnais...a little on the dead side!
RépondreSupprimerI love going to Montpellier but didn't see a lot of Montpellier photos on the most recent part of your blog. Maybe you're yearning for the countryside, as I sometimes yearn for the city...?
In this day and age, it would be hard for me to not be able to have internet or phone service....maybe they will have it soon...but otherwise I am guessing those places will still be for rent!
RépondreSupprimerWhat's the rent for a furnished vacation unit? Looks like a divine place for a brief respite.
RépondreSupprimerI'm back for the day. Come visit!!
This looks like a nice, quiet place from which to disconnect from the world! No cell phone and no internet! Yet, "Louis" knows he wouldn't be able to stay long without either....
RépondreSupprimerRe your question about the pollution, that brown didn't show to the eye nor in the camera preview. It only appeared when "Louis" posted the image. It really was a splendid and clear morning. "Louis" thinks Blogger's Picassa may have changed the color values because the image in his computer doesn't show the brown haze, either.
WOW! What a beautiful place--I love it, so sweet and lovely. Is it warm there? Are the empty houses for rent or for sale? Are they expensive? I love it.
RépondreSupprimerOh Marie - I know why you wanted to live here - it is so charming. i would love to retire to a place like this!!!!
