I post this photo today as a small tribute to my friend philosopher Guy Boisson who found a few years ago that Locke's Journal had neve...

The fountain on the Place de la Révolution is brand new! Its water seems to be dancing in the air. Please go to Mrs. Nesbitt's place to...
Amusant, justement j'au aussi un panneau idiot que je doit posté.
RépondreSupprimerje sais pas si c'est une spécialité française.
I have no clues but it could have something to do with the internet?
RépondreSupprimerI think the American English translation is "Park here and die."

Maybe - Don't park your internet here.
RépondreSupprimerMy guess was "no parking" or "parking prohibited" but after reading Steve's response, I also thought for a moment it means something like - park and be buried (interdit sounds like interment). But I cheated and looked up on the Internet and my first guess was right. :)
RépondreSupprimerJules you are so funny.
RépondreSupprimerI like jules....funny!
RépondreSupprimerI like Steve's humor too!!!!!!!!!!!! (Jules's too)
The sign says "no parking" but there is still a car parked just in front of the gate.... I think this is typically French. Many French don't like to obey. But I am sure many people in the world know about that characteristic of ours :-))
"Hyderabad", you are right !
C'est vrai que le français est un frondeur, en Allemagne il n'y a que ma soeur et moi qui traversons au rouge!!
RépondreSupprimernice post
RépondreSupprimerI think I should have written "many French people refuse to obey the law....
RépondreSupprimerJe pense que je devrais rassembler ces signes quand je viens en France. Peut-être je rassemblerai des photos d'elles à la place. Je me demande s'ils disent, des "photos interdites"
RépondreSupprimerlol.
RépondreSupprimerIt's typical of Jamaicans as well :)
Oh, oh, I've been missing some quite interesting pictures of Montpellier, but arrived just in time! Sorry! No wonder I had to park this way...
RépondreSupprimerInterdit d'Interdire! ;))
In Germany it would have been: STRENGT VERBOTEN!
Those sorts of signs just act as a challenge to some people i think.And...i reckon it's OK to break rules, as long as nobody is hurt and you are prepared to accept consequences, especially financial ones!
RépondreSupprimerThat looks to me like a random sign having no official force at all.
RépondreSupprimerYes...that is very French...and also Polish as well. People sometimes simply cant read...or don't want to. You never know though...that car may be parked by a Brit who can't read French!!! HEE HEE!!
RépondreSupprimerI think you see this everywhere! but I am very much a rule follower...I HATE the fines imposed if I chose to be a nonrule follower!!!! Love the "Park here and die" very cute!!!
